Position Summary:  The Security Officer provides competent campus security and safeguards students, employers, visitors, and property with an emphasis on customer service and good community relations.  This part-time position would be to work sporting events, school events and other school related activities as needed.    

 

 

Essential Functions:  

 

 

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

  1. Working knowledge of law enforcement methods, techniques and procedures.
  2. Working knowledge of Charlotte Country Day School organizational policies and procedures including appropriate human resources compliance.
  3. An ability to recognize problems and choose the appropriate solution from among several.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  6. The ability to take charge but deal professionally and calmly in emergency situations.
  7. Ability to read simple instructions and operate independently during shift.
  8. Ability to safely operate school vehicles on public roads as well as on campus around visitors, employees, and students.
  9. Valid state driver's license.
